Fish Mappas (Kerala Cuisine)


Ingredients

1) Fish - 500gms

2) Grated Coconut-1/2 cup

3) Chilli powder -1tbsp

4) Turmeric powder - 1tsp

5)Tamarind(Kudam Puli)-3 nos

6) Big Chilli - 3nos

7) Small Onion(Chopped)-4nos

Method

1)Grind the grated coconut with chilli powder,turmeric powder,Small Onion, Chilli and a 1tsp of salt in a mixie. Keep it aside

2)Mix the grinded contents with fish in a vessel and add tamarind and one chopped chilli into it

3) Add water to the vessel (till the fish pieces are submerged)

4) Cook for 10 mins in high flame and after tht for 5 mins in slow falme

5) Serve hot.
